The table illustrates information about consumer spending of 5 different countries on different items in 2002. It is clear that food and tobacco were the most important factor that they spend their money.
The number of customer of Ireland and Turkey buying foodstuff and tobacco were significantly higher that is around 30% than the other 3 countries. In Spain, consumers spend 18.80% of their total earnings on foodstuff and tobacco, while Italy and Swede were slightly lower at 16%.
In 2002, Italians expand 9% of their net revenue, which is the higher figure for clothing and footwear. Whereas buyers of Ireland spent a little amount of money on clothes. Spain and Turkey consumer spending were near Ireland. To compare with other 4 countries, the figure for Sweden was relatively less that is 5.40% and spending on leisure and education were 3.22, which is near to Italy. Ireland and Spain got 2.21% and 1.98% which is 2 times less than Turkey that figures 4.35%.
In conclusion, according to the table, it is obvious that the foodstuff, beverages and tobacco were the most important consumer spending in the five countries and the customer expenditure of different countries was quite different.
