The chart below shows how frequently people in the USA ate in fast food restaurants between 2003 and 2013
The graph depicts the percentage of people in the USA eating frequently in junk food restaurant during10 years since 2003. The most significant facts to emerge from the graph are that the figure for once or twice a month and that for a few times a year experienced an increase while other frequencies witnessed a decrease. In addition, the figure for once a week and that for once or twice a month showed them superiority over that for other frequencies during the period.
In 2003, it is clearly seen that people who ate once a week and once or twice a month in a fast food restaurant have a larger percentage, which accounted for around 30s. These were followed by the figure for several times a week and that for a few times a year. While the former was recorded at about 17, the latter was listed at roughly 13. Besides, there were the smaller percentage of people in the USA eating every day and never in this kind of restaurant, which was noted at approximately 5s.
10 years later, there was a growth of once or twice a month figure, rising slightly from around 30 to about 33. Likewise, a few time a year figure saw a gradual increase to roughly 15 before leveling off. The figure for several times a week and that for once a week, however, had a similar pattern, climbing to nearly 33 and 20 each in 2006, then witnessed a noticeable fall to approximately 27 and 16 respectively at the end of the period. At the same time, the timeline experienced a moderate drop in the proportion of people eating every day and never in a fast food restaurant in 2006 before remaining stable at around 2.5 and 4 successively.
