Overall, the number of students in university was lower in the early years and middle class students was at the top. While, government spending for students was high on the beginning period.
Firstly, in 1991,the total amount of students in university was just above 10,0000. Then, the account of students ratio was gradually increased to more than 15,00000 by 1997 and finished to 20,00000 at the end of the period. As is observed, students count was highest in 1999 with approximately, 21,00000. Secondly, more than half of the middle class family students went for university in 1991 with 62%. Whilst, economic back ground of high and lower income students represents 30% and 8% respectively.
Finally, a noticeable trend in government spends for students was on 1991 which is 6500 pounds. The average amount of expenditure dramatically declined to about 4700 pounds in 1996. Later the expense remained relatively stable ath end of the period in UK.
