The bar chart compares the weekly working hours of eight professions, whereas the ensuing strains encountered by these professionals are revealed in the pie chart.
As shown from the information of working hours, business men are in the dominant position among the given occupations, registering at 70 hours per week. Likewise, both doctors and movie producers are working for more than 50 hours weekly, followed by writers and programmers who work for approximately 8 hours per day. By contrast, lecturers, chefs and lawyers work for the least number of hours, which is practically halved of that of business men.
In respect to stress related illness, lecturers, however, account for a quarter of all the registered patients, which is the greatest proportion among all listed professions. In comparison to doctors and movie producers comprising 15% and 18% respectively, the fractions that are picked up by business men, chefs, writers and lawyers are practically identical at 10%. Among all these occupations, programmers merely occupy 5%.
Overall, there is no clear relationship between length of working hours and stress levels suffered by these occupations.
