In the bar chart, the percentages of two types of households (owned and rented) are illustrated over almost a century( from 1918 to 2011).
It can be clearly interpolated from the given chart that there is a gradual increasing trend for owned accommodation except 1953 and 2011. In 1952, the percentage of both types remained unchanged as compare to the previous given year(1939). On the other hand, the owned accommodation had a decreased value compared to the previous given year(2001).
On the contrary, rented house has a slowly decreasing values over the years except 1953 and 2011. 1971 is an interesting year because it is the only year for which there were equal number of both types of accommodation.
Finally, another important fact of the chart is that there is no drastic change in values between any two consecutive given years. The maximum increase or decrease was 10% which was happened between 1971 and 1981.
