The line chart illustrates the number of passengers in the London underground station on a particular day from 6 in the morning to 10 p.m. It is showed in the graph that the number of underground station passengers on that day was not monotonically increasing or decrease. Instead, there exited loads of fluctuations throughout the day with the most eminent peak at 8 a.m., followed by the second highest volume of passengers at 6 p.m.
The statistics tracked the number of passengers from the early 6 p.m., starting from 100 people in the subway station. Then it witnessed a significant growth in the following two hours and peaked at 400 people at 8 a.m. Then the number dropped more than a half to less than 200 people. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a gradual increase in passenger volume pulled the number up to 300, yet a sudden drop decreased the number to 100 at 4 p.m. which was the same as the starting point.
The following 4 hours showed a considerably similar pattern as the period from 6 to 10 in the morning, although the second peak was slightly less than 400. The graph hit its second lowest point at around 125 and ended at 150 after a modest fluctuation.
