Write a letter to a friend. You have borrowed something from your friend and it got damage.
1. Apologize for damaging the product
2. Explain what happened
3. Say how are you going to fix the issue
Dear Mike,
Thanks for borrowing your scientific calculator. It is pretty much helpful to finish my assignment. However, I damaged the calculator unfortunately and I would like to apologize for the thing happened.
I accidentally spilled coffee over the calculator and I suppose that the cause of damage is mainly due to electrical shock circuit. As you know, I am addicted to coffee and every time when I work on the assignment, I keep a coffee mug on the study table. On that day, I was carelessly hit the mug with my right hand and the coffee spilled all over the calculator.
I feel really sad for your loss. I have checked with professional serviceman from Casio and he informed that it cannot be fixed. I will buy a calculator with same specification as a replacement. I wish you can satisfy with the replacement unit.
Again I would like to say sorry for the inconvenient causes.
Your friend,
Yan
