Your local council is considering closing a sport and leisure center that it runs, in order to save money,
Write a letter to the local council, in your letter,
Give details of how you and your friends or family use the center.
Explain the why the center is important for the local community.
Describe the possible effects on local people if the center closed.
Dear Sir,
In intend to write this letter to grab your attention to an important concern. It is heard that the sports center situated in our area is going to be shutdown. I would like to tell you that all community residents strongly oppose this idea as this center is the only entertainment place for the families living here. The center is always crowded with families living nearby, where they spend quality time with their kids and elders. This center provides certain leisure services under one roof such as fine-dining, play area for toddlers and sports club for youngsters.
I would like to assert my point that demolishing the sports center will be detrimental. As this place provides an opportunity to all the residents to mingle up and extend their social circle. Furthermore, this place also provides affordable luxury to most of the salaried class families here, who cannot afford to go to expensive play areas and restaurant every week.
This sports center also paves ways for good sportsperson of this community by recommending them to official sports teams such as national cricket and football selection teams. This decision will close the opportunity door for talented children of this area. This place is not only visited by young people but also retired people meet here every day, where they enjoy their evening tea and watch children playing. Therefore, please review this matter and revert your decision.
Yours Truly,
Sam
