Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.
Write a letter to your friends. In your letter:
• thank them for the photos and for the holiday
• explain why you didn't write earlier
• invite them to come and stay with you.
Dear Alan,
I hope this letter finds you well. Firstly, thank you for sending memorable pictures of our trip. Moreover, it was one of the most memorable trip of my life. I recently saw the pictures, which you had sent, they are great. However, I would also like to apologise for not writing you early. As, I was busy with hectic work schedule.
Let me explain you further. Once we returned back from our trip, my immediate boss had already scheduled a meeting with a client to discuss about marketing plans. Furthermore, this client will increase our organisation's revenue and it was one of the major clients of our competitors. So, in order to get this client we had to do extensive research in very limited time. Luckily, we were able to complete our research and offer a great deal to our clients, which they were unable to reject.
So, due to this reason, I wasn't able to write back to you. Furthermore, at this point I would like to invite you for a party at my place next month, as it's my parents birthday and it would be a great opportunity for all of us to gather. Looking forward to see you people.
Regards
Arbu
