The line graph shows the information of female employees in four nations namely the USA, Korea, Afghanistan, and France over the 20 years from 1985 to 2005. Overall, all countries experienced upward trends in the percentage of female workers except for Afghanistan.
Starting from the highest base at around 45%, the figure for employed women in the USA increased gradually to nearly 65% over the first 20 years. Although it witnessed a slight decline of about 5% in the end, it was still generally the highest. Following by French female employees, its figure decreased slightly from 1985 to 1990 from 40% to just above 30% respectively, then it went up to 50% in 2000 and remained unchanged to the end of the period surveyed. The proportion of female employees in Korea was at the lowest peak in 1985, at 20%. During the remaining time, it grew steadily and stood at nearly 40% in 2005.
In terms of Afghanistan, the number of women who were employed was 10% higher than the formers in 1985. However, it saw a sharp decrease since 1995 from 40% to the bottom of just over 0% in the end.
