The chart below shows a comparison of different kinds of energy production in France in 1995 and 2005.
The given chart compares the proportion of various energy sources in France over the 10-year period from 1995 to 2005.
Overall, during the examined period, the percentage of energy produced from coal remained the major occupation. Additionally, except for the significant drop in terms of the figure for energy generated from petro, the rate of the remaining energy categories witnessed a marginal increase.
In 1995, the energy produced from coal accounted for the highest proportion, at 29.80%, followed by those from gas and petro which were slightly lower, at 29.63% and 29.27% respectively. By contrast, 6.4% is the figure for nuclear, whereas other sources just made up only 4.9% of total production.
Regarding the year 2005, with the slowly growths of about 1%, the energy created from coal still maintained the highest percentage. Moreover, while a dramatic decline of roughly 10% was witnessed in the figure for petro, there were considerable rises by approximately 5% in its counterparts for nuclear and other sources. Meanwhile, the rate of energy generated from gas went up moderately to 30.31%.
