The chart shows the percentage of drugs taken by girls and boys in a school in New Zealand.

The chart illustrates how much proportion of the New Zealand students are abusing illicit drugs. The units used for measurement are in percentage.
Overall, it is clear from the graph that maximum drug is abused by boys followed by the girl students, but the total was always under 35%. Regarding illicit use of hashish or marijuana, both the sexes are involved in significantly high ratio. Whereas, cocaine is seen to be equally abused by both. However, least addiction is noted for LSD and medicinal drugs.
On the one hand, about 32% boys and around 28% girls were involved in addiction with hashish or marijuana. This is followed by, 5% girls and approximately 9% boy students were unlawfully taking heroin, opium and morphine to get high.
On the other hand, 4% of both sexes abused cocaine. Additionally, a less than 5% abuse was noted for other drugs like amphetamine, LSD, solvents and medicines by young learners.
