The diagram below shows how electricity is generated in a hydroelectric power station. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram illustrates the production of electricity in a hydroelectric power station.
Overall, the process begins with the water flows from river into a high-level reservoir and ends with the transmission of power lines to national generator.
If can be clearly seen that the first step is collect water in a high-level reservoir. When the generation begins, the water passes through an intake which is in the bottom of dam. The intake opens in day allows the flow of water to generate electricity and is closed at night to the water flows out into the river below the dam during pumping. The next step is the transportation of water into a reversible turbines, which is connected with a generator in power station. In day, the generator is operated that permits water to flow down into low-level reservoir, while at night, the reversible turbines pump water into high-level reservoir. Finally, the generator in the power station is linked with power lines which are used to transport electricity to national generator.

The picture illustrates the process through which electricity is produced in a hydroelectric power station. Overall, the procedure initiates from river and ends up to national grid. Moreover, operations can be different based on the day or night time.
The process begins when the river water is accumulated behind a dam in high level reservoir which is open during day and it closed at night hours. Then the flow of water generated electricity by means of a turbine and generator during day hours which then produced electricity is transported to national grid through power lines in order to be used.
The flow of water which was used to generate electricity in previous step then goes to low level reservoir at day and it then is pumped to high level reservoir via a reversible turbines at night to provide water for day time's work.
