The chart below shows the number of passengers who used public transport in somewhere town from 2012 to 2015
The chart designates the number of people in thousands who took three forms of public transportation which are tram, bus and train in somewhere town in the four-year period from 2012 to 2015.
In general, the number of commuters using trams grew progressively and became the most popular forms of transport. Likewise, bus usage fluctuated but still remained popular. However, the number of people who took trains declined abruptly, although regained passengers by the end of the period.
The number of commuters taking the train commenced at around 76,000 passengers in 2012. It then declined sharply in the following year, to about 10,000 passengers. By 2015 train usage recovered to around 54,000 passengers. Bus passenger numbers followed a parallel pattern, starting at just over 50,000 passengers, declining in 2013, and then recovered to the same figure as at the beginning of the period.
On the other hand, about 23,000 people used trams in 2012, and over the next 3 years, the number of people taking this form of transport grew steadily to around 96,000 passengers in 2015. Trams proved to be the most popular form of transportation over the whole period.
