Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to tell you about my latest three-day crash course on Value Added Tax topic. This short course was organized by the Federal tax Authority in Dubai with two slots from 1st May to 3rd May 2019 and 1st Jun to 3rd Jun 2019. I attended it in May slot.
I liked many points about this course. Firstly, I liked the idea to make business community aware, and not to simply enact the law and levy penalty. Course content and planning was quite impressive. While they started the presentation, it was mainly about the historical background of VAT and followed with reason for introducing VAT. Gradually, they progressed with registration and invoicing section. Finally, they ended the lecture with hefty penalties for anyone’s wrongdoings and their tax evasion. Overall, presentation was well organized.
On the other hand, there are some areas for improvement which I would like to recommend. Speakers were not pretty much confident in reverse charge mechanism, probably, due to lack of exposure. The suggestion, I would like to given is that speaker’s selection should be based on experience in relevant field rather than simply being staff of Big 4.
With this, I would like to wrap up with a note of thanks to nominate on company behalf and helping me to sharpen my skill set with this course.
Yours sincerely
Tom Edward
