The charts give information about the amount of exports (millions of tonnes) moving through Rotterdam port in Holland to various global destinations in 2002 and 2012; and also the % rates of tax imposed on these exports by the receiving countries
The given charts evince information with respect to the tonnage of exports from Rotterdam to miscellaneous destinations, and the percentage of tax rate for goods by receiving countries in 2002 and 2012.
As far as the amount of exports is concerned, it mildly tailed off (300 millions of tons) to 3900 and 1500 respectively in USA and Latin America in 2012, declining 500 and 100 millions of tons from 6900 and 2400 respectively in Europe and China in 2002. By contrast, this figure more than tripled from 800 and 700 respectively in Asia-Pacific and Australasia in 2002. This number for the other destination was the same in this two years. Generally, the total amount of exports grew more than 1500 tons from 2002 to 2012.
Turning to tax percent imposed by destinations, this marginally dipped to 2% in USA (downright dropping 1%), while considerably dwindling from 5% and 4% respectively in Asia-Pacific and Australasia (shrinking exactly 3%). This figure surged from 5%,0% and 1% to 8%, 2% and 2% respectively in Europe, China and Latin America. In the other countries, no change did impose.
To recapitulate briefly, it can be seen there is reverse relationship between the percentage of tax and weight of exports. By augmenting levy, the number of experts slumped. whilst by plumping levy, the amount of goods markedly soared (except USA, which slid down).
