The chart below shows the results of a survey of people who visited four types of tourist attraction in Britain in the year 1999.

The pie chart compares figures of visitors who travel to four categories of tourist attraction and five different theme parks in Britain in 1999. It showed that theme parks and museums were the two most popular spot for people in that year. And in theme park sector, Blackpool Pleasure Beach accepted highest number of people.

About 38% of the visitors went to theme park, and 37% of people went to museum or gallery. To contrast, historic houses and monuments were visited only by 16% of all. And the wildlife parks and zoos attracted the least population of tourists, with only 9% of visitors.

From more details of theme park sector, almost half of the people(47%) had decided to visit the Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 1999. And followed by that was the Alton Towers, with 17% of the sample. And the third one was Pleasureland where locate in Southport. The Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland Windsor attracted the same number of visitors, which 10% of each.
