You have just received a credit card statement from your bank. The statement lists a number of expensive purchases that you are sure you did not make.
Write a letter to the bank manager. In the letter:
• Introduce yourself.
• Explain that you did not buy the items listed.
• Say what you would like the bank to do to fix the problem.
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is John Paul and I am writing this letter to mention a problem regarding my credit card statement issued by your bank.
I am a saving account holder in your bank for more than a year. I am a business man, and this account is mainly used for transactions and depositing of cheques and sometimes buying of merchandises related to my business, such as electronic appliances.
However, the statement depicts certain purchases like furniture items and branded clothes. I do not utilize this credit card for buying household or personal items as it is particularly operated to maintain business transactions. Furthermore, the cities from which those purchases are mad, I did not visit them since the last one year. Therefore, I firmly state that those items are enlisted in the statement by mistake.
In the wake of this explanation, I would like you to revert me the amount, mentioned against those items, deducted from my account, and also issue me a certificate that this kind of blunder will not occur again in future since it is my business account and I cannot afford these kind of mistakes. I hope that you would take prompt action on this matter.
I look forward seeing proceedings in reverting the amount.
Yours faithfully,
John Paul.
