Dear Mr.Gery,
I am Neha Patel working as Senior Quality Analyst under your department. I am writing this letter proposing a request to permit me to join a foreign language training class as advert in today’s newspaper.
To begin with, we being an international company are continuously engaged with clients who speak various languages. An advertisement of foreign language coaching course, in today’s Economic Times, caught my attention. Candidates can either enroll for Batch 1 - two months full time (4 hours) or Batch 2 - six months part time (2 hours) course to learn Spanish/German/Thai language which is awarded with a diploma certificate upon completion.
Furthermore, considering our current project pipeline, I could foresee that I can easily opt for Batch 2, provided I get authorization of signing off an hour early for next six months. Also, I can compensate any unfinished task by working from home. I assure you that work will not be hampered as a result of this training.
Lastly, even though we use English as a medium of communication in our organization, it is not true for our newly partnered client from Bangkok whose first language is Thai. They find it difficult to clearly communicate and many a times lead us to misunderstand the real meaning. To eradicate this issue, I am keen to learn their language for effortless communication and prove an asset to our company.
I kindly request your careful consideration for this suggestion.
Yours faithfully,
Neha Patel.
