The graph below shows female unemployment rates in each country of the United Kingdom in 2013 and 2014.
The bar graph compares the percentage of unemployed among women in the four different parts of the UK. Overall, England, Wales and norther Ireland experienced a downward trend during the period while Scotland’s female jobless level increased over time. In both years, more women were unemployed in England and Scotland while Wales and northern Ireland showed lower percentage of jobless.
As the graph shown, unemployed percentage of female in England was higher than other three countries in 2013 which was 6.8% for England while Whales were accounted for only 5.4% on the same year, the lowest female unemployment rate. However, the following year, both whales and England saw a slight decline to 5.0% and 6.5%, respectively.
Regarding to Scotland, their unemployed percentage stood at 6.1% in 2013 which jumped to 6.7% in 2014 and became the country of highest rate of women unemployed. On the other hand, norther Ireland stood at 5.6% unemployed rate of women. Later, this country experience 1% dropped to reach 4.6% in 2014.
