introduction of yourself and why you can apply the national scholarship
First of all, I pretty appreciate the opportunity to take this presentation and compete for the National Scholarship as a candidate.
then let me introduce myself as the beginning of the presentation. my name is XU Haobo, as a senior student, major in computer science and technology. For the grade, I guess every student sitting here also has prominent GPA and sterling learning skills. Personally, I obtained 3.88 gpa for the past three years when there is one semester I studied at KAIST as an exchange student. OK, then let me talk about my study life in KAIST. this experience is unforgettable. it is true the study environment there is wonderful, so you can utilize various implements and facilities conveniently as you want. Whereas at the same time, there is also a gigantic burden on students, so we have to study very arduously to catch up the pace of teaching of professors. Plus, the most admirable thing is that there are still numerous students stay in the library to study until midnight, which is also an inspiration for us, exchange students, to work hard. Moreover, I also met a lot of friends who come from different countries all over the world. playing with them is quite interesting and they considerably extended my horizon during that semester.
so life in university cannot solely includes study, right? my acquaintance must know me that I am not a silent student who can sitting in the studying room for a long period. so besides learning obligatory courses and knowledge to attain high score in the exam, I often do some sports in my spare time. I love play basketball and I regard it as a kind of relaxation and studying. Why? because I can learn more effectively after playing basketball and it also practice teamwork, cooperation and endurance simultaneously. Thus, due to my love to the basketball, I attended the basketball association at the first year in university to hold the logistics department. In the second year, I became the president of the basketball association in the Liangjiang campus to plan and implement various activities about basketball to fulfill students’ lives. also, I have represented our Liangjiang international college to attend the school basketball competition twice in the Autumn. And I participated in spring sports meeting every year to compete with other students from other institutes. All of these made me feel responsible because I tried to challenge myself and prove the strength of our institute to others.
On the other hand, during my previous three years, I completed two more business internship except the practice this summer in Qianfeng organization. one of the internship I did this spring was in the international business Machines company, whose abbreviation is ibm. I learn some techniques about Data Analysis and many knowledge related to Artificial Intelligence. The other internship was finished at Shanghai last summer and the company is not famous as ibm, where I practiced and worked as a software engineering. I learned JAVA at that time by myself and joined in the software development group there to develop applications to customers. I brought my ideas about software engineering to that company and they gave favorable feedbacks and harvest to me meanwhile, which is practice
At last, I am very appreciated everyone helped before and everybody I met. I am pretty grateful to every opportunities I grasped. Thank you very much for listening.
