People do not have to practise write by hands if they have technological devices. Do you agree with this opinion?
In the past, when people want to note they only have paper and pens to write down the information but now everything has changed. Many people use computers or digital devices to type documents such as smartphones. Because of this reason, people think that practising handwriting is not necessary. I do not agree with this thinking.
Firstly, people can not bring technological devices whenever. A computer is bigger than a pen and a notebook or even a piece of small paper so it is inconvenient to bring it everywhere. Moreover, in many unpredictable situations, people don’t remember to prepare a computer when they want to note some main point quickly. In this case, a pen and a piece of paper can solve the problem.
There is another reason. Digital devices can create documents and even letters always have the same style each other but they have a primary weakness in comparison with handwriting. Digital letters do not have as many creative spaces as handwriting. Digital texts usually have a fixed layout template. Locations, directions, shapes of letters often follow some samples and are inflexible. It is complex for people use software or even powerful software such as Microsoft Word to change capital letter s into usual letters continuously, take a note at the corner of pages, insert pictures or mind maps. In reality, producers even invented software which supports people can note by handwriting in touching screen. Therefor digital letters can not replace handwriting completely.
In conclusion, I think people should practise write by hand although digital texts are becoming more and more popular.
