The line graph gives information about the proportion of exports from Australia to four different nations in the 1990-2012 period.
Overall, although China and India were two nations which had the lowest figures at the starting point in 1990, China led the chart in the percentage of Australian exports in 2012. While the figures of India and China had increases between 1990 and 2012, those of two remaining nations decreased in this period.
At the starting point in 1990, the percentage of Australian exports to India was the lowest, at around 1%, compared to nearly 2% of China. In contrast, the highest proportion was Japan, at roughly 27%, which was higher than US by approximately 14%.
After 22 years, in 2012, China witnessed a miraculous growth and rose to the top of the chart, at precisely 30%. Besides, the figure of India also slightly increased to around 6%, which was still lower than that of US, at nearly 7%, a small difference by 1%. After a sharp decrease in 1995, the percentage of exports from Australia to Japan dropped to around 18%.
