The graph below shows the percentage of Australian exports to 4 countries from 1990 to 2012.

The given line chart illustrates the proportion of goods which were exported from Australia to Japan, the US, China and India during the period between 1990 and 2012.
It can clearly be seen that there was an opposite trend for the exported good of Australia to other four big economies between 1990 and 2012. In particular, China reached the highest percentage of Autralian exports in 2012 while India experienced the lowest figure.
Looking at the information in more detail, in the year of 1990, the proportion of Australian exported goods to Japan was around 27% and this shows a completely different picture that the figures for the US, China and India were lower, at around 13%, 3% and 2%, respectively. After 13 years, China and the US had a fairly equal proportion of Australian commodities, which made up approximately 10%. However, at the same year, the figure for Australian exports to Japan was around 20%, which was at least twice as high as that in the US and China (around 10%).
As illustrated, in 2008, the figure of exported commodities to China witnessed a sudden increase and reached the same level of Japan at around 19%. Also in the year of 2008, a similar proportion for Australian exported goods was recorded between the US and India, at around 7%. In the last year, the most striking point is that the percentage of China totally dominated those for Japan, the US and India (30%, 18%, 7% and 6% respectively).
