TPO 54 Writing Report
the article states that there are several ways to reverse increasing salting that threat the lake health , and provide three ways to that .however ,the professor explains that solutions mentioned are not realistic and refutes each of authors reasons.
first, the reading claims that removal of salt from lakes may done by special facilites ,the professor refutes this point by saying that water pumped may evaporate and accumilate of solid toxic elemant that harm envionment and people , she states that wind may spread selenium outside and people will breath it and put them in health risk .
second, the article posits that salt may be diluted by bring ocean water by pumb, the professor says that the nearst ocean is 100 km away ,according to professor it is so expensive to build such a pumb to cover that long distance .
third , the reading says that the may contol salinity by build huge walls that seperate lake into sections small and big one and flow water to the big one .the professor opposes this point by explaining that these wall wont withstand so long because if a earthquicks happen the wall may destroyed and mixing well occur between different salinity sections .
