The plans below show the layout of a university's sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant
The two maps illustrate the complete appearance of a sport centre in a university before and after reconstructing. Overall, there are more space for other sport and swimming as well and therefore, there must be the demand for more accommodations to be added.
Currently, the center consists of a 25-meter pool with seating area and a changing room, a gym and two outdoor courts in two sides of the pool. The gym is right behind the pool with a limited space and there are still a great deal of lands that can be used.
In the future, the 25-meter pool will still be remained unchanged but the gym area will be widened horizontally. The outdoor courts in the left of the old pool will be replaced with another pool only for leisure purpose. The left courts will be rebuilt into sports hall and dance studios. Two areas beside the changing room of leisure pool and sports hall will be the places for sports shop and café.
