The bar chart illustrates the information about the number of vehicle owners in China from 1987 to 1999. The figures have taken per thousand people.
Overall it is clear; China has increased the vehicle ownership dramatically over the period. From 1987 to 1993 it can be seen a gradual increase in vehicle quantity used, before it’s grew drastically after 1993.
In 1987, Chinese commuters used 250 automobiles per thousand people. It was doubled in next two years and accounted exactly 500 in 1989. After four years from 1987, it was reached almost just under 1000 per thousand people while it was leveled off until 1993.
In 1995 the number of vehicles was almost 2000 per thousand people which was a significant growth compared to previous years. It was increased by 1000 per thousand people in 1997, before reached to the peak of 4000 in 1999.
