The process below shows how chocolate is produced.
The given diagram demonstrates the procedure for principal steps involved in the production of chocolate. It is obvious that there are 10 distinct stages in the process of producing chocolate, commencing with cacao trees being grown in three different areas and culminating in the creation of liquid chocolate.
Looking at the chocolate making in detail, cacao trees first need to be grown in South America, the continent of Africa and Indonesia with a view to collecting ripe red pods. Once the pods are harvested, white cocoa beans are separated to be ready for gathering. Upon the fermentation of the cocoa beans, they are spread in a tray to be exposed to intense sunlight for dying. Following that, the dried beans are packed in large sacks.
At two next phases, the packages are delivered by train or lorry to the factory where the beans are engaged in further processing. Subsequently, the beans are roasted under the highest temperature, around 350 Celsius degrees. After that, the beans are crushed into small pieces with the assistance of a designated machine in an attempt to remove outer shells. Finally, the inner parts are pressed, leading to the production of liquid chocolate.
