The table illustrates the survey result of a 100,000 UK citizens, who answered whether they visited overseas and the purpose of the visit for the period of 1994 to 1998. The bar chart depicts their destinations such as Western Europe, North America and other areas for the same period.
Overall, it is apparently seen that substantial number of UK visitors been to other countries to spent their holiday while the number of visitors were relatively low at the purpose of business, visiting friend and relative and other reasons. Western Europe was their most interested place.
In 1994, 22,072 tourists from UK had visited other states whereas majority went to spend their holiday that is just over 15,000. Business travel, visit of friends and relatives were 3155 and 2689 respectively. These two were around 2000 and 3000 throughout the period while, other reasons not exceeded 1100.
The bar chart reveals highest number of travelers went to Western Europe, which was almost over 17,000 over the period. North America and other areas had insignificant number of people compared to the Western Europe. Which were just around 2000
