You have a neighbor who is often burning rubbish at their house. Write a complaint about it to the local council and say
–What is happening?
–How is your family harmed by that.
–What could be the solution, in your opinion.
Dear Sir,
I am a resident of 34 Greenville, Chandigarh. and I am writing this letter to register a complaint against my neighbor’s offending activity of burning rubbish frequently at their accommodation.
They burn their rubbish after every third day of the week usually in the evening. Assumingly, they do it in order to get rid of the trash as well as to save their rubbish disposal charges. Initially, I discussed the matter with them and tried to resolve it amicably at our own level. However, they took no notice of my concern and continued to do the same. (Need a paragraph break here since by this time you have addressed the first question – What is happening?)
Owing to the harmful fumes emitted by the burning of rubbish, the health of my family is in jeopardy. The burning rubbish causes irritation in eyes of all family members, especially children. Neither my children can focus on studies, nor I can focus on work during that day. Furthermore (you can write furthermore only if you have mentioned a point earlier.), my grandmother is suffering from asthma which gets worsen up worse when their the burning activity takes place. (The question was not adequately addressed.)
I request you to warn them against doing it and suggest them to avail the facility of dumping waste during the weekend in the dump fields of the city. They can also avail the services provided by the council to recycle the rubbish in an eco-friendly way at absolutely no charges. (Solution adequately addressed. Good job!)
Thank you and I look forward to your prompt action.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely.
