The percentage of different types of waste recycled.
The given bar chart demonstrates the differences in the ratio of 4 types of waste ( glass, paper, cans, plastics ) from 1992 to 2002. Overall, it can be seen that all of them experience a significant increase over the period. It is true that glass was the most recycled wastes, while the opposite was taken by plastic. In details, in 1992, 15% of glass was recovered compared to others,13%, 8%, and 10% respectively, it doubled its ratio in the next five years as well as paper with approximately 21%, both of them continued rising and ended at 50% and 40% in 2002. Plastic and cans began theirs recycled at nearly 10% and 8%in 1992, both of the figures increased slightly to 12% and around 18%respectively. The trend kept growing gradually for cans which ended at 20% in2002. The exception was plastic that remained its positions at the end of theperiod.
