all criminals should have access to education and habilitation programs while in prison. To what extent do you agree or disagree
in my point of view, i wholeheartly agree that all prisoners should have access to education and rehabilitation, because it is their entilement to have a second chance to become their better selves.
First of all, we all know that illiteracy is one of the most common reasons why people perpetrate. With education, prisoners will not likely to re-offend because they have already reset their mind and are willing to deviate from any arousal of negativity. On the other hand realising that they had made bad repercussion for the society, there is an innate desire to compensate for their prior mistakes that make them do a lot of good deeds such as funding more on charity or becoming one of those who combat crime in their area. In terms of rehabilitation, it gives them occupations that lead them to better lives. Thus, it renovates them into useful citizens.
Whereas rehabilitation has its obvious tangible impact on those who intend to re-offend, education's influence is intangible because it changes people from deep inside. We should do it in an equivalent way, the combination of these two would ascertain positive results for society
