TPO11-Question : Summarise the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they case doubt on specific points made in the reading passage
The text and the lecture discuss the results of decreasing the number of young people who read literature books on future literature and the culture of society. The passage explains three problems that reducing the number of young readers cause in future literature. However, the teacher refutes all of the problems.
First, the reading believes that nothing else can provide intellectual stimulation than literature does. Also, it mentions that literature improves people's imagination. In contrast, the lecture explains that all of the books are not in high quality. Moreover, when young persons do not read literature books, it does not mean that they do not read good books.
Second, the reading explains that when young persons do not read books, they will turn on the TV or listen to the song, which has negative influences on culture. However, the author believes that culture is changing and it is representing in different ways. For example, it is representing good songs or TV programs.
Finally, the passage believes that an increase in the number of poor books reader decreasing the investment in the literature books. On the other hand, the lecture claims that the reason for less support of literature is not related to the reader, and it is the writer's fault. Also, the professor explains that books become hard to understand.
In conclusion, although the reading offers three problems of decreasing the number of young persons who read literature books, the speech opposes all the problems.
