A bar graph on time 16 to 24-year-olds spent per week on sports and exercise by gender in England.
The given bar graph details the proportional time invested by both the sexes in the age-group 16 to 24 on a physical workout calculated on weekly basis in England.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that girls are less active in leisure activities than boys. Although females took part in many physical activities, their male counterparts spend significantly more hours in comparison.
According to the given illustration, approximately twice the girl's proportion(22%), who have no time to spend on any of the activities, are boys. More than 15% of girls love exercising for an hour, while this applies to only 11% of boys. In the context of 1 to 3 hours, both the genders leveled off at 20%.
On the other hand, a noticeable difference can be witnessed in the case of more than 3 hours among males and females. About 1 in every 10 girls go for 3 to 5 hours activity which is less by 2% than boys. Between 5 to 7 hours of the window, boys lead girls by nearly 9%. Also, about 15% of males fall in over 7 hours of time slab as against only 5% of girls who exercise for such long hours.
