The pie charts illustrate the most important reasons for migration to and from the UK in the year 2007.
At a first glance, it can be seen that the most important reason for both immigration and emigration was either to find a job or to definite a job, while other small proportions covered the rest of the reasons for migration to and from the UK.
A significant proportion of 30%, left the country to definite a job. Nearly to this number, 29% emigrated for the same reason. It can be noticed that, studies were another important reason to immigrate with a proportion of a little bit more than a quarter. In contrast to this, only 4% entered the country for study purposes that year.
