The pie charts give information about world forest in five different regions
The pie chart illustrates the percentage of global forest in five regions.
Overall, it is notable that Africa has the largest area of forest while the opposite is true for Asia. Moreover, the amount of timber in North America is higher than that for the remaining categories.
As can be seen from the first chart, about 27% world forest is recorded in Africa in comparison with 25% of North America. Meanwhile, the areas of forest in Europe, South America and Asia accounts for approximately equivalent figures, at 18%, 16% and 14% respectively.
Regarding the second pie chart, while Africa occupies the largest area of world forest, only a small fraction of timber is measured here, at only 9%. In the meantime, that figure for North America is 30% which is moderately higher than those of the rest of regions. To be specific, the amounts of timber in South America and Europe contribute to 23% and 20% of the global forest as opposed to only precisely 18% in that of Asia.
