The graph gives information about coffee production in 4 different countries from 1990 to 2010.
The bar chart compares the amount of coffee produced in Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, and Vietnam between 1990 and 2010.
Overall, only Colombia experienced a downward trend in its coffee production over the 20-year period, while the opposite tendency was seen in the other countries. It is clear that the amount of coffee manufactured in Brazil was by far higher than any other nation.
In the year 1990, around 0.7 million tonnes of coffee were produced in Brazil, whereas the figure for Colombia was slightly lower, at 0.6 million. The production of coffee in Indonesia and Vietnam were only 0.2 and 0.1 million tonnes in the same year, respectively. For the following 5 years, those two figures remained relatively unchanged, while Brazil saw an increase of 0.3 million and Colombia experienced a minimal drop to 0.5 million in their coffee production.
By 2010, the amount of coffee manufactured in Brazil had doubled to nearly 2 million tonnes. Similarly, Indonesia rose twofold and surpassed Colombia as the second-ranking country in terms of coffee production, with 0.4 million tonnes in 2010. The figures for the two other nations were similar, at about 0.3 million at the end of the period shown.
