The bar chart depicts the proportion of various cinema in Australian and English cinema market in 2001, while the line graph illustrates the amount of admission in cinema between 1976 and 2006 in both countries.
Overall, American movies had dominated UK and Australian cinema market during the period and number of getting admission on cinema was higher in British throughout the period.
In term of chart A, the larger number of US films had been released in UK in 2001, which was recorded nearly 75%, while this ratio was less by 7% in Australia. However, only 20% of local movies were screened in UK theatre and Australian movies was just by halved. In contrast, demand of Australian movie was only 5% in British, while less than 2% people watch local movie in Australia. The demand of other movies was significantly higher in Australia as compare to UK, which was accounted just below 20% and under 5% respectively.
Turning to chart B, in 1975 around 25 million Australian got admission in cinema and with some fluctuation it reached at its highest point in 2001 by just below 100 million. But, during 5 years it dropped to 80 million in 2005. However, UK exceed Australian admission ratio throughout the timeline with more erratic pattern. It started with 100 million in 1975, which is more than highest of Australian admission. Although, it plummeted below 60 million in 1985 and start increasing gradually with some fluctuation and end up with just below 160 million in 2005.
