the line graph below shows changes in the amount and type of fast food consumed by Australian teenagers from 1975 to 2000
The line graph illustrates the quantity of fast-food consumed by teenagers in Australia, over 15 years, from 1975 to 2000.
Overall, it is evident that the consumption of pizza and hamburgers went up, whereas the amount of fish and chips eaten diminished over the 15-year timescale.
In 1975, the figures for pizza and hamburgers were low, which were at 5 times per year. Over the following years, they all took a nosedive. The number of hamburgers dramatically surged, which was exceeded the amount of fish and chips in 1985 and hit the highest point at 100 times on average in 2000. Similar to the hamburgers, there was also an enormous increase in the quantity of Pizza. It overtook the fish and chips in the 1990s then reached a peak at over 80 times per year in 1985 which remained stable from 1985 to 2000.
In sharp contrast to it, the amount of fish and chips which was at 100 times per year in 1975 decreased significantly after the increasing trend in 1985. In 2000, it reached the lowest point-just over 40 times, which was twice and a half less likely than its figure in 1975.
