The given chart illustrates the earnings of a country through exports in different products from 2015 and 2016. The data presented in tabular form demonstrates the change in values for each category in terms of percentage from 2015 to 2016.
Overall, it can be seen that petroleum and engineered goods contribute to the highest amount of income through exports in both the years. Additionally, it can be noted that out of all 5 categories, only for gems and Jewellery items the percentage of income from exports has dropped from 2015 to 2016, while for the rest there is an increase in value.
Firstly, the highest income of around 62 billion dollars is obtained in the year 2016 by petroleum products, which is slightly lower than engineered goods in the same year. Further, the lowest-earning (approximately 26 billion dollars) was through the trade of textiles during the year 2015. The agricultural products and textiles each had an equal contribution of around 32 $ billion in the year 2016.
Secondly, the highest positive change in values from 2015 to 2016, was noted in textiles – 15.24 %, whereas, the lowest positive change of 0.81 % was experienced by agricultural items. A decent upward growth of 8.5% compared to 3% of petroleum products was noted for engineered goods.
