The percentage of Internet users in USA, Canada and Mexico from 1999 to 2009
The given line graph provides the data on the proportion of people who used Internet in three countries including USA, Canada and Mexico, over the 10 – year period, which started from 1999.
In general, it is clear that both rates experienced the upward trend in the percentage of the Internet users. We can also see that although, the figures for the people using Internet in both three countries rose steadily, those for Canada in most years was the highest.
In 1999, the percentage of USA stood at about 25 percent, while those of Canada and Mexico was approximately 10 percent and 5 percent. Moreover, there was a sharp surge in the proportion of Internet users in both three countries, especially the data on USA and Canada was about 70 percent, while those on Mexico stood at only 25 percent.
By 2009, the proportion of the Canadians using Internet reached the peak, which was almost 100 percent, whereas those of the Americans and Mexicans stood at around 80 percent and 40 percent.
