task 1-Tpo49
The main idea of both the talk and reading is about whetheer humpback whales's navigation caues by using stras or not. The reading stated it can happen by stars and provided three main reasons for supporting his opinion; However, the lecture refused this idea.
The both of the reading and the lecture discussed about humpback whales' intelligent. In this line of thought, the author said that this species are so intelligent for implementig stars for navigation: on the other hand, this idea is completely irrelevnt becasue there some birds, such as docks, that navigate by using stars, but they are not intelligent at all. In fact, theyir intelligence is in at the medium level. As a result, this idea that was provided by the reading likely is not true.
Second, the both of the passage and the professor spoke about one ability in humpback whales that help them go in straith lines when they migrate to their desire location. The reading argued these animals can use this ability like birds; therefore, stars can be help them to migrate; Howevr, the professor said that some extra forces is the reason of this direct navigation. The professor asserted eath magnetic filed may be one of this extra forces; As these species are sensitive to biomagnetic field, the reason for the mentioned point is biomagneticfield, not stars.
Finally, the both of the reading and lecture discussed one unusual behavior in humpback whales. The lecture said the ability of floating staright up for minutes continousely can prove the idea that stars are the reason of these species' migration in long distances, but the lecture refused this idea by saying that this animal can not to do it. The profesor said that this ability is rare in these species, while other species, like shrunk do it, but shrunks do not imigarte. Accordibgly, this ability can not be the reason of humpback whales' migration in long distances.
