The chart compares the proportion of labors accounted for by five crucial fields of industry in the Great Britain over the course of 70 years starting in 1841.
A first glance at the chart reveals a downward trend in the industries. Nonetheless, a reverse one was seen in constructing buildings and services, which latter took place of mass production to require more workers than the others.
Looking at the details, the most striking feature observed in the 70-year period was the 48% increase in workforce distribution of the service sector, whose initial figure was only one third. By 2011, it became the most labor-required industry. Meanwhile, an opposite tendency was registered in goods production with its quantity of labors, previously making up just under 40 percent of British force of workers, declined deeply by 4 times. However, it is nowhere near as much as what statistic of food provision experienced, plummeting from 22% to 1%.
With regard to the least worker-demanding areas in 1841, albeit there were different patterns, the alterations were so minor. To specify, the amount of builders, human resource supplying energy and water remained taking the negligible percentage of labors force.
