Overall there are six steps in the manufacture, beginning with the growth of the canes and ends with the creation of the popular sweetener
Looking at the production process in detail, it takes 12-18 months for the canes to fully develop before being chopped down manually or by machine. In the following stage, the juice is crushed out of the canes by a machine with two wheels and will then run through a limestone filter to remove any impurities.
At the fifth stage, the juice is sent to an evaporator where water is boiled off by high heat to create a thickened syrup. From there, the syrup is moved into a centrifuge which rotates at high speed to squeeze out any remaining liquid, leaving behind only sugar crystals. The resulting product of the former step will be then dried and cooled in a large container to produce sugar that we use in our lives.
