The diagram below shows the production and processing of milk and dairy products for commercial sale.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagram depicts the process of manufacturing milk and dairy products for further consumption.
Overall, there are several steps contributing to the manufacture of processed milk and other related products such as butter, cream, and cheese, starting with grazing cows on the field to distributing well-packaged products on the shops’ shelves and to the dairy products section of supermarkets.
As per the diagram, the beginning of the process involves the stage of cows grazing. Then, the milking machine will be utilized twice on a daily basis to take out freshly new cow milk. After that, the milk will then be stored in refrigeration storage before the daily milk tanker drops by to transport them to the dairy for further processing.
At the dairy, the cow milk will then go through a range of machines and pipelines to ensure the consistency of the production and the quality and freshness of the milk. This is also when cheese, cream, and butter are manufactured. When the aforementioned stage has been completed, milk will be pasteurized and packaged on the product chains. After being packed, subsequently, these products will be delivered to supermarkets and shops for further consumption and commercial sale.
