The given maps illustrate the current plan and the future plan of the refurbished centre of a small town called Islip.
Overall, after development, the new dual carriageway will connect all amenities of the town centre. Bus station, shopping centre, pedestrians only area are some features of the developmental plans.
At present, Islip town centre has a main road with two branch roads. Main road runs through the length of the town centre and shops are located on the both sides of the main road. Two road branching from west and east direction of the main road, ends in school and park respectively. Towards the south of the town centre couple of housing are located.
In the future developmental plan, Islip town centre has a new dual carriage way which encircles the whole town centre including the school and park. In addition, few additional amenities will be added, such as Bus station, Shopping centre, car park, couple of new housing all within the dual carriageway. Pedestrians only walking area will be in the middle of the town centre, faciliating for easy access of shops and other amenities.
