The maps below show changes that took place Youngsville in New Zealand over a 20-year period from the 1990 to 2010.
The two maps describe the main changes taking place in Youngsville between the years 1990 and 2010.
From an overall perspective, it can be seen from the maps that the whole city has experienced a significant modernization, particularly in the south area.
Looking at the northern river called Alanah, many trees had been cut down in order to make space for a park and car parking facilities. In 1990, there was not any golf court, but 2010 witnessed an erection of a golf court into the north-west of the town. Another striking change is that the stadium was constructed in 2010. Moreover, there was a construction of Marina seaport at the mouth of the river together with the expansion of the railway line to the north of this town.
If we look at the south of the river Alanah, it has been urbanized noticeably and a range of modern facilities have been built, such as skyscrapers, factories, warehouses. The south of this town used to be a green area, with a number of trees, but the trees were removed and replaced by many factories and warehouses. A final notable development is the introduction of skyscrapers in Youngsville town.
