IELTS Writing Task 1-17/04/2021
The bar chart shows the types of media that people of different age groups used to get daily news in one country in 2011. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart provides a comparison of the percentages of people in various age groups using three types of media to keep up with their news every day in a certain nation in 2011.

Overall, it is apparent that radio was the most popular means that was used among adults aged 18 and over, while people in the 10-17 age group preferred social networks more than the other to get news. Microblogging was the least favored type of the three sorts of media across the age brackets.
At the ages of 10-17, people preferred using social networking as the main resource to access news, at 80%, which was twofold and fourfold as high as the figures for Radio and Microblogging, respectively.
While Radio was the predominant type of media, with its figure standing at nearly 90% for 18-to-64-year-olds, minimally lower at roughly 85% at the age of over 65, Microblogging was still not the prioritized type of media that was used daily across all age groups shown, and the figure declined with age to merely 5% of people aged over 65. Regarding Social networks, except for 10-to-29s with the same percentage of users, the figure was lower across the groups aged 30 to over 65, and it ranged from 25% to 50%.
