The graph shows the percentage of visiting the cinema once a month or more between 1984 to 2003 (4 age groups)
The line graph compared four different age groups who went to the movie theater once or more per month from 1984 to 2003.
Overall, it is clear that the 7-14 and 15-24 groups fluctuated and then decreased over the given period. The opposite trend was seen in the other two age groups, which also fluctuated but increased at the end of the shown period.
In 1984, the 15-24 sector was at the highest point of all, at about 16% of people who sometimes visit the cinema each month. The 7-14 group was at 10% while the age group of 25 to 35 was approximately 5%. Lastly, the lowest proportion of movie goers was the 35 and above group, which stood at around 2%.
The youngest and second-youngest groups had a dramatic fluctuation throughout the years. However, these two groups all dropped down to about 5% and 30% respectively at the end of the time frame. Similarly, the 25-35 sector fluctuated significantly from 1996 to 2000 but then rose back to 30% in 2003. The oldest group was more likely to go to the movie theater since the percentage of people went there once a month or more had an increase of 8% before peaking at around 12% in the last year.
