The graph below shows the amounts of waste produced by three companies over a period of 15 years.
The line graph compares how much refuse was produced by companies A, B, and C from 2000 to 2015.
Overall, there was a decrease in the amount of waste released by companies A and B, while the figure for company C saw a gradual increase. In addition, company B generally had the highest amount of sewage until being surpassed by company C in the 2010s.
About 12 tonnes of waste was produced by company A in 2000, with a subsequent decrease to roughly 11 tonnes of waste in 2007. Conversely, the amount of waste produced by company B started at the south of 9 tonnes, after which it experienced a rise to around 10 tonnes of waste in 2005, before declining to precisely 9 tonnes of waste in 2007. The figure for company C saw some similarities compared to company B, doubling from the north of 3 tonnes to approximately 6 tonnes of waste in 2007.
The amount of dust discharged by company C surpassed the figures of companies A and B in 2010 and 2015 to become the company having the highest amount of waste, followed by a constant increase to its peak (around 10 tonnes of waste) at the end of the period examined. Opposite changes can be seen in the figures for companies A and B, which experienced an annual decline to theirs low (8 and 3 tonnes of waste respectively).
